On January 3rd, it was informed from Changzhou National Hi-tech District (CND) that the district's fiscal revenue in 2016 exceeded 10 billion yuan, reaching 10.258 billion yuan.

During the year of 2016, CND overcame the slowdown in macroeconomic growth and adopted many measures to tackle tough issues. The district’s economic development showed a good momentum. The comprehensive strength continued to increase in the transformation and development. The per capita GDP based on the resident population reached more than 165,000 yuan. The industrial structure was improved in the quality and efficiency optimization. The primary, secondary and tertiary sectors accounted for 1.7%, 52.8% and 45.5% respectively. The number of high-tech enterprises reached 362, making 55% of the district’s industrial output value.

As one of the first 52 national-level high-tech zones, CND has achieved rapid economic growth since 1992. Its GDP exceeded 50 billion yuan in 2010 and surpassed 100 billion yuan in 2015. The district’s fiscal revenue exceeded 5 billion yuan in 2010 and surpassed 10 billion yuan in 2016.
