On November 28th, the signing ceremony of China Transmission’s optical wafer project was held in Liyang. China Transmission will invest 1 billion yuan in Shanghuang Town, Liyang to carry out LED wafer production projects. Cao Jiazhong, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor of Changzhou, attended the signing ceremony.

The project is jointly funded by China Transmission’s two subsidiaries, namely, Nanjing J-crystal Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu E-lite Semiconductor Co., Ltd. The first-phase project will utilize the 47-mu land (about 3 acres) of Jiangsu E-lite Semiconductor Co., Ltd. In Shanghuang Town.

The project has a registered capital of 100 million yuan. In the total investment of 1 billion yuan,there are 300 million yuan for equipment and facilities. The company is mainly engaged in R & D, production and sales of optical coating new materials and photoelectric materials, including cutting, polishing and graphic processing. The annual sales is expected to reach 3 billion yuan.

The project will start production in the first quarter of next year, and the first batch of products will be sapphire crystal screen for mobile phone.
