On August 15th, it was informed that the Jiangnan Huadu Industrial Park of Jiaze town has been selected into the second batch of national key flower culture bases.

Jiangnan Huadu Industrial Park was founded in 2009. It is located in Yuejin village, Jiaze town, with a total area of 3,000 mu (about 200 hectares). The industrial park is divided into four major areas, namely, the flower production area, the comprehensive service area, the exhibition and trading area and the new rural community. The annual capacity is 1.5 million pots of high-grade potted flowers, 12 million cut flowers and 5 million seedlings.

The first-phase project has a built area of 600 mu (about 40 hectares), with a total investment of 250 million yuan. Besides the fundamental facilities like ditch channel and water and electricity supply, there are 220,000 square meters of intelligent greenhouses. The second-phase project is under construction.

In the use of intelligent greenhouse, the park plants high-grade flowers like orchids, flamingo flowers, etc. It has now become a demonstration base of modern flower production, which displays automatic control, soilless cultivation, flowering control, water-saving irrigation, rainwater collection, natural gas heating, solar power and other environment-friendly technologies.
