From July 22 to 26, Lu Qiuming, secretary of the CPC Jintan District Committee, led an economic and trade mission to South Korea and Japan, focusing on promoting investment in Jintan's key industries like high-end equipment and precision manufacturing.

During the visit to South Korea, the mission conducted intensive investment promotion activities and hosted the 2023 Jiangsu Jintan - Gunpo Industrial Cooperation Promotion Conference. Gunpo, a prominent industrial city in South Korea's Gyeonggi Province, is home to high-end equipment manufacturing clusters specializing in lithium batteries, semiconductors, and advanced medical equipment, which closely align with Jintan's industrial development.

In Japan, the delegation held a signing ceremony for a high-end intelligent equipment manufacturing project planned for Jintan. The project is expected to draw an investment of 100 million US dollars and facilitate the introduction of skilled talents, advanced technology, and upstream and downstream suppliers to the district.

During the visit, the mission also toured Sunway Communication's research institute in Tsukuba. As one of the first national-level high-tech enterprises, Sunway is rooted in Jintan and primarily produces RF electronic components and modules. The company has already established two branches in Japan, focusing on cutting-edge materials for 5G communication and high-polymer thin films.

With a "partnership" mindset, Jintan will continue optimizing its business environment and providing comprehensive, all-round services to support market entities.
