On the afternoon of November 8th, Vice Mayor Fang Guoqiang met with the Johor State Government delegation headed by Johor Tourism, Domestic Trade and Consumerism Committee chairman Datuk Tee Siew Kiong at the Municipal Administration Center.

The two sides further enhanced mutual understanding and deepened friendship in the meeting. At the same time, Changzhou and Johor Bahru signed a sister city relationship agreement to jointly promote exchanges and cooperation in fields of economy and trade, science and technology, culture, sports, health, education, etc.

Johor Bahru, formerly known as Tanjung Puteri or Iskandar Puteri in the Malay language, is the capital of the state of Johor, Malaysia. Johor Bahru is the country's third largest city and the southernmost city in the Malay Peninsula. As the capital city of Johor, the city plays an important role in the economic welfare of the population of the entire state. Johor Bahru is one of the fastest-growing cities in Malaysia after Kuala Lumpur. It is the main commercial centre for Johor and is located in the Indonesia–Malaysia–Singapore Growth Triangle. It is the centre of financial services, commerce and retail, arts and culture, hospitality, urban tourism, plastic manufacturing, electrical and electronics and food processing.
