On the afternoon of May 29, Party Secretary Wang Quan met with the delegation of China Eastern Airlines Jiangsu Ltd. at the Administration Center. The two sides exchanged views on deepening cooperation and accelerating the construction of China Eastern Airlines’ Changzhou base.

Both sides stated that they will further strengthen cooperation through joint efforts to optimize the network layout of Changzhou Airport’ flight routes and increase the capacity for transportation so as to support Changzhou’s high-quality development and provide quality services for the people of Changzhou.

Vice Mayor Li Lin was present at the meeting.

China Eastern Airlines Jiangsu Ltd. currently owns 59 Airbus aircraft and has opened more than 100 domestic, international and regional routes. At present, five aircraft of China Eastern Airlines park overnight at Changzhou Airport. In 2017, a total of 7,563 flights took off at Changzhou Airport, an increase of 20.24% year-on-year. The passenger throughput reached 937,000, an increase of 32.23%.

In the afternoon, the delegation held a promotion conference of new routes, new products and new services in Changzhou.
