On July 22nd, Changzhou held a working conference of the development zones of foreign trade and investment. Vice mayor Li Xiaoping attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

The conference points out that currently Changzhou bears a huge pressure on the work of foreign investment promotion. Especially in some key sections, there is a lack of support and a huge gap between the task schedule and the actual progress. Therefore, we must work harder.

Despite that, we have obtained certain achievements in the first half of year. A batch of projects in new energy industry chain and automobile industry chain have successfully settled in Changzhou. Three new regional headquarters and functional organizations of multinational corporations at provincial level have settled in changzhou. The investment projects of Thyssen Krupp, Sumitomo Electric and Fujitsu, which are ranked among the Fortune 500 companies, increased their investment in changzhou. The import and export decline has been narrowing monthly. Changzhou is ranked 5th in the main indicators of import and export throughout Jiangsu Province.
