Between October 25-27, Japan’s Takatsuki City Council President Fukui Koji led a delegation to Changzhou. On the afternoon of October 25, Bai Yunping, executive deputy director of the Standing Committee of Changzhou Municipal People's Congress, met with the delegation.

Bai Yunping welcomed the delegation and hoped to further tap the potential of friendly exchanges and cooperation between Changzhou and Takatsuki.

Takatsuki is a town located in Yamagata Prefecture, Japan. It is seated between Osaka and Kyoto. In 1987, Changzhou and Takatsuki officially established an international friendship city relationship. In 1988, Osaka Mishima Emergency Critical Care Center and Changzhou First People's Hospital became friendship hospitals. In 2015, 2017, and 2018, Changzhou sent respectively administration service, health care and cultural and educational delegations to Takatsuki.

Chen Jianguo, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, and Gao Honghua, secretary general of the Municipal People's Congress, were present at the meeting.
