On the morning of April 22, the 15th Changzhou Games opened at the Olympic Sports Center. Party Secretary Wang Quan announced the opening of the Games and Mayor Ding Chun gave an opening speech.

Municipal leaders Yu Zhiping, Cai Jun, Xu Guanghui, Bai Yunping, Chen Jianguo and Zhang Yaogang, as well as the members of the organizing committee of the Games, attended the opening ceremony. Vice Mayor Fang Guoqiang presided over the opening ceremony.

It is learned that the opening ceremony also combines large-scale orienteering and sports carnival. The 2018 Sports Carnival was held outside of the Olympic Sports Center, dividing into five areas of sports exhibition, experience, challenge, service and culture for the public to participate in. After the opening ceremony, the city’s first Orienteering Championship kicked off.

The 15th Changzhou Games comprises 108 disciplines involving the participants from different walks of life. It will last from April till November.
