Changzhou’s first electric bus line put into operation

On July 6th, the city's first electric bus line was put into operation, and the first charging station - Xilin Park Transit Hub Charging Station was officially put into use.

The first batch of 14 electric buses will be put into operation in Line 601, starting from Xilin Park Transit Hub to the New Century Mall, stopping by Qingtan and Guanghua Bridge, a distance of 10 kilometers in total.

These pure electric buses are produced by the Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Co., Ltd. The battery capacity is 147 kWh, giving 150 km range. A 15-30 minute fast charge can be achieved, giving 50 km range. It can get full charge in 3-4 hours.

Compared with conventional vehicles, pure electric vehicles can contribute to oil independence, as well as cleaner air. Besides, they are less noisy and more comfortable.

According to the plan, by the end of this year, Changzhou will build five large charging stations and three charging pile sties, located in the Dino Valley transit hub, the parking lots of No.3 Bus Company, the central bus station of Yangtze Trade Center, the Lihe transit hub, the Yancheng transit hub, the transit hub of High-speed Rail North Station, and the Hongmei central bus station.
