Delegation from the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland visits Changzhou

On August 1, Sima Shuanglong, deputy director of Changzhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and vice president of the Municipal People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, received the delegation from the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland headed by Professor Wagner at the Administration Center.

Prof. Wagner is an old friend of Changzhou Municipal People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. Last year, Wagner was invited to attend the Jiangsu Overseas Investment Forum held in Changzhou and gave a speech on the sociocultural integration in mergers and acquisitions between Chinese and Western companies. She received her postdoctoral degree from the University of Geneva (HEC) in 2011 and has long been focusing on the sociocultural integration of mergers and acquisitions (M&As) in mergers and acquisitions between Chinese and Western companies. The purpose of this visit was mainly to promote cooperation between Swiss colleges and Changzhou in vocational education. Sima Shuanglong greeted Prof. Wagner and her delegation. He said that Switzerland has a very well developed vocational education and training. He hoped that through this visit, the two sides will further promote cooperation between Changzhou and Swiss colleges in vocational education.

On the same day, the delegation visited Changzhou Science and Education Town. Prof. Wagner said that Switzerland and EU attach great importance to cooperation with China and she is willing to promote the cooperation between Swiss colleges and Changzhou Science and Education Town in vocational education.
