On October 24, one locally transmitted case of Covid-19 was confirmed and registered in the Lianyungang city of Jiangsu province.

Fourteen local asymptomatic carriers (three in Xuzhou, two in Nantong, four in Suzhou, one in Zhenjiang, and four in Suqian) were newly reported in the province.

An inbound confirmed case and five symptomless cases were reported in the province.

Five hospitalized Covid-19 patients were discharged, while 24 asymptomatic carriers (17 local and seven inbound) were released from medical observation.

Ninety-four confirmed cases (61 local and 33 inbound) are still undergoing treatment at designated hospitals, while 234 asymptomatic carriers (186 local and 48 inbound) are currently under medical observation in isolation.

As of this update, China's list of virus transmission zones stands at 2,363 high-risk, 1,581 medium-risk, and 279 low-risk areas.
