On the afternoon of September 5, Vice Mayor Liang Yibo met with John L. Garrison, President and Chief Executive Officer of Terex Corporation, at the Administration Center.

Terex Corporation is an American worldwide manufacturer of lifting and material handling solutions for a variety of industries, including construction, infrastructure, quarrying, recycling, energy, mining, shipping, transportation, refining and utilities. In 2008, Terex (Changzhou) Machinery Co., Ltd. was established in Changzhou National High-tech District (CND), mainly engaged in the design, development, production and refurbishment of aerial work platforms for road and bridge maintenance. In 2018, Terex signed the third-phase capital increase agreement with the CND, with a total investment of 100 million US dollars on manufacturing projects of aerial work platforms and other construction machinery products. Terex’ Changzhou plant reached sales of 2.4 billion yuan in 2018.

Liang Yibo said that he hopes Terex will seize the opportunity to further expand investment, and the local governments of Changzhou will go all out to provide all-round services. Garrison said that Terex will deploy the business of mobile construction waste crusher after the completion of its third-phase project in Changzhou.
