On the afternoon of October 8, Mayor Ding Chun met with Wang Tianyi, CEO of China Everbright International Ltd., to jointly promote project construction and development and to expand new space for cooperation.

Ding Chun said that the five projects that Everbright International has invested in are operating well and have contributed to the economic and social development of Changzhou. He hopes that Everbright International will launch more high-quality projects in Changzhou. Changzhou has the confidence to serve the enterprise well and ensure the construction and operation of the project.

Wang Tianyi said that in the future, Everbright International will cooperate with Changzhou in various environmental protection areas such as comprehensive management of water environment, solid waste treatment and soil remediation, in order to further participate in the city’s ecological civilization.

In 2006, Everbright International's first project, Everbright Environmental Energy (Changzhou) Co., Ltd., settled in Changzhou. At present, the Changzhou project has covered the areas of waste incineration power generation, photovoltaic power generation, environmental protection equipment manufacturing and hazardous waste treatment, with an accumulated investment of nearly 2 billion yuan.

Hang Yong, secretary-general of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, was present at the meeting.
