On the morning of June 27, the first council and inaugural meeting of the Tianning People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (TNPAFFC), Changzhou was held. The meeting passed the association's charter and elected the first session of board members. Wei Min, chairman of the CPPCC Tianning District Committee, was elected as the chairman of the association.

Cai Xisheng, vice chairman of Jiangsu People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (JSPAFFC), Zou Hongguo, chairman of Changzhou People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CZPAFFC), and Song Jianwei, secretary of the CPC Tianning District Committee, together unveiled the plaque of TNPAFFC. Zhou Weidong, secretary general of JSPAFFC, Du Jibin, director of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and vice chairman of CZPAFFC, and Sima Shuanglong, deputy director of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and vice chairman of CZPAFFC, as well as over 70 members of TNPAFFC’s first council attended the meeting.

On behalf of the CZPAFFC, Zou Hongguo expressed his warm congratulations on the establishment of the TNPAFFC and offered suggestions on the work of TNPAFFC in the future.
