Five projects in Jintan District, with a total investment of 27.85 billion yuan, have been selected for the provincial key projects in 2019.

They are: SK New Energy Automotive Battery Diaphragm Project, Easpring Lithium Battery New Material Industry Base, BEST Ternary Lithium Battery Project, CNSIC Salt Cavern Gas Storage Power Station, and Hohai University Changzhou New Campus.

The total investment of Hohai University Changzhou New Campus is 6 billion yuan. The new campus in Jintan will house the schools of Mechanical Engineering and Intelligent Manufacturing, Artificial Intelligence, IoT Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Energy and Power Engineering, Finance, Transportation Engineering, Design and Art, and Life Sciences, as well as the Hualuo Geng College (Top Talent Training Institute). At the same time, it will cooperate with world-renowned universities to build Sino-French, Sino-German, Sino-Canadian and other cooperative schools and institutions.

The person in charge of the Jintan District Development and Reform Commission said that Jintan will give full play to the major projects in future industries, promote the core technology, advanced management, high-end talents and R&D institutions to promote the industrial level to the middle and high-end and achieve high-quality development.
