On the morning of January 5th, the contract of establishing the Chinese industrial base of Besser Company was signed in Wujin District, Changzhou. Vice Mayor Fang Guoqiang attended the event.

The Besser Company was founded in the United States in 1904. Besser is a world leader in quality concrete products equipment, parts & support. Today, the company specializes in precast forms, as well as pallets and rings for the production of concrete pipe. It now have machines operating in over 150 countries and regions.

The industrial base will focus on building ‘Sponge City’ (the 'sponge cities' are new projects being launched in China to use the full potential of rain water) and promoting industry modernization. The first-phase investment is 30 million US dollars for research and production of large-size pallets, concrete pipes, concrete culverts, cement pipes and MAC manufacturing equipment, expecting annual sales of over 500 million yuan. Meanwhile, the base will integrate industry resources to build an R & D center for training professionals in the concrete industry.

Wujin Greening Building Area, as the only demonstration zone certified by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, has introduced more than 100 manufacturing companies such as China National Building Material Company Limited, Beijing Taikong Panel Industry Corp. and Norhtann Building Solutions LLC.
