The Art Basel in Miami Beach 2019 was held recently in Miami, the United States. More than 4,000 artists and a total of 269 international gallerists showcased their outstanding works during the week-long event from South Beach to museum galas. Changzhou’s paper-cutting artist Zhou Yunhua, with his 45 paper-cut and painting works, was invited to the exhibition.

Art Basel Miami Beach, which has built a cult following of its own after coming out of the original fair in Basel, Switzerland, features a much-anticipated selection of artworks by the masters as well as blue-chip modern and contemporary artists. It ranks as the premier art show of the Americas offering a premier platform for renowned artists and galleries. In the American show, leading galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa show significant work from the masters of modern and contemporary art, as well as the new generation of emerging stars. Paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, films, and editioned works of the highest quality are on display in the main exhibition hall.

The 85-year-old Changzhou artist Zhou Yunhua was the main founder of Jintan paper-cutting art. He has created a large number of paper-cut works, with many gold medals won at art exhibitions. His works have been extensively collected and exhibited by art museums worldwide.
