On the morning of July 26, the 2018 China Welding Robot Development Forum was held in Wujin National Hi-tech Industrial Zone, Changzhou. More than 300 experts, scholars and entrepreneurs in the field of welding robots gathered together to discuss the development of the industry. City and district leaders Liang Yibo, Shi Xuyong and Xu Zhiguo attended the event.

The forum consists of three main sections: the main forum, the metal welding sub-forum, and the precision electronic welding sub-forum, covering aspects of the national policy of the development of the welding robot industry, industrial environment analysis, industry development trends, user needs, advanced technologies and latest research results. More than 20 guests presented the most cutting-edge academic views and industry trends. The purpose of the forum is to gather the resources of the national robot industry, in order to promote sound and rapid development of the robot industry in Wujin National Hi-tech Industrial Zone (WIZ).

In recent years, the robot industry in Wujin has continued to grow stronger and bigger. It has initially formed a complete robotic industrial chain from parts production to complete assembly, gathering nearly 70% of the robot production capacity in Jiangsu province. In 2017, the WIZ has gathered 191 innovative enterprises related to robotics and intelligent equipment industry, with an annual output value of over 40 billion yuan.
