This year’s Spring Festival falls on Jan 28. “Chunyun” begins on Jan 13. It is a 40-day travel frenzy surrounding the Chinese Lunar New Year.

As of 6:00 pm, Jan 13, a total of 30,000 passengers have departed from Changzhou Railway Station, basically equivalent to the throughput over the same period of 2016. However, due to the renovation of the South Square of Changzhou Railway Station, many passengers taking long-distance trains departed from the North Station instead.

To help passengers kill the time when waiting for their trains, the North Station organized charitable activities in cooperation with Longcheng Chunxiao Volunteers Association and Yancheng Spring and Autumn Park, creating a festive atmosphere of the Chinese New Year. Passengers in the waiting hall can bring home couplets free of charge and enjoy singing and dancing performances.
