On the evening of March 9, Changzhou successfully held the 2017 Chinese New Year Reception for Consulates General in Shanghai. Vice mayor Fang Guoqiang joined the consuls general, deputy consuls general and representative officers of 35 Consulates General in Shanghai at the reception.
Fang delivered the opening speech at the reception. He introduced the new achievements of Changzhou in economic and social development in 2016 and marked 2017 as the "year for advancing major projects". He also expressed sincere gratitude to the Consulates General in Shanghai for their care and support for Changzhou, and extended festive greetings to all the guests.
During the reception, Fang talked with the participating consular officers in various areas to promote extensive exchanges and cooperation between Changzhou and other countries.
