According to the coordinated arrangements of the central leadership and in light of the requirements of the joint mechanism for foreign-related COVID-19 prevention and control in the Yangtze River Delta, Jiangsu-bound travelers who have entered China via airports in Shanghai will be transferred for quarantine and health observation starting from 00:00 on August 2.

Jiangsu-bound travelers entering China via Shanghai Pudong International Airport will be transported by dedicated vehicles to designated hotels for quarantine and health observation after their information has been collected and put on record by Shanghai city. Sampling and nucleic acid testing will be carried out by Shanghai on the fifth day of quarantine. Those tested negative will be transferred from quarantine sites in Shanghai to the Kunshan Transfer Base by dedicated staff and vehicles of Jiangsu province in a seamless and hermetic manner when their seven-day quarantine period is over. Governments of the cities under the provincial government will send dedicated vehicles to pick up travelers bound for the respective cities at the Kunshan Transfer Base. Upon arrival at their destinations, passengers will be put under isolated health observation for another seven days as follow-up protocol for infection prevention and control.
