On September 4, it was learned from the Municipal Commission of Economy & Information Technology that Changzhou will speed up the construction of two municipal-level manufacturing innovation centers, namely the Changzhou New Energy Vehicle & Information Innovation Center and the Changzhou Graphene Innovation Center.

The New Energy Vehicle & Information Innovation Center takes technology R&D, testing services and industry incubation as its main tasks, and accelerates the transformation of scientific and technological achievements through talent training, industry services and international cooperation, in order to promote the upgrading of China's new energy vehicle industry.

The Graphene Innovation Center is built on the basis of the Jiangnan Graphene Research Institute and the Changzhou Graphene Technology Industrial Park. After years of cultivation, Changzhou’s graphene industry has formed a solid industrial base and superior industrial ecology.

The innovation centers’ pilot construction period is 3 years, striving to form a scientific and effective internal organization mechanism, operation management mode and investment and financing mode, in order to achieve good results in terms of think tank building and international cooperation.
